The Monteverdi Choir Würzburg is made up of over 100 talented students and alumni of the University of Würzburg and the University of Music Würzburg. Since 1998, this successful and renowned choir has been directed by Matthias Beckert, conductor and professor in choral conducting at the University of Music Würzburg. The Monteverdi Choir Würzburg has developed a wide concert repertoire, including major oratorio works from the Renaissance up until the present day. The choir's performance and versatility is proven through its participation in numerous Würzburg premieres and reputable concerts with period instruments.
